WELCOME BACK! We are so excited to be able to worship together again in the house of the Lord starting Sunday, June 21, 2020! In order to keep everyone safe, please note and adhere to the following procedures relating to our COVID-19 reopening plan:
- Worship: For now, we will only be having Sunday worship services. This will consist of two services, one at 9:30 a.m., and the other at 11:00 a.m. Additionally, all areas will be sanitized before each session.
- Seating: To accommodate social distancing, we will be seating you on every other pew and families will be grouped by household. All seating will be on a first come, first serve basis, and any overflow will be seated in the social hall and view the service on the large-screen tv. Please understand that this is only temporary and a minor inconvenience as we are so excited to just be able to worship together in person again.
Antioch Welcomes Our New Pastors!
Starting this Sunday, June 28th, 2020, Antioch will be blessed with two new Pastors!
Reverend Dr. Craig Rikard, who will be our Senior Pastor, has served as a United Methodist Pastor for at least 40 years. and has been very active in many areas of the ministry at Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Valdosta, Ga., including serving as a mentor for our Junior Pastor, Rich Wardwell. We are very excited to welcome he and his wife, Gail, into the Antioch church family!
Rich Wardwell, our Junior Pastor, also comes from Park Avenue United Methodist Church and has been very active in the ministry there, especially with the Praise and Worship Team, as well as in many other areas. Rich is currently attending Asbury Seminary School to become a full-time Pastor. He and his lovely wife, Julie, have two children, and we are so blessed to have them here at Antioch!
Please join us this Sunday in welcoming them! We look forward to the great things that God is going to do through their ministry here at Antioch!
Psalm 91: 1-7, 9-12 (NLT)
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
